Photographing the National Parks
National Park Service has been managing the 59 National Parks in 28 states since 1916. More than 20.000 dedicated men and women are serving more than 300 million visitors a year. The sheer diversity in landscape and wildlife is a photographers dream and I have been fortunate enough to visit 14 National Parks and 2 managed by Navajo Nation Parks - some several times. But the beauty and greatness of the parks comes with a price - to many people. At certain times, especially during peak season, the roads are bumper to bumper traffic and the popular viewpoints are crowded with visitors.
